1979 Subaru Brat SIR, with factory "X" package!!

-Rarest of the rare! Factory "X", which stands for Xperimental!! I know it doesn't have the "X" markings, but on Sept 13-17, 1979 you could order an "X" that had no "X" markings, and looks 100% like a non-"X"!  Check out the Subaru Brat Enthusiasts website for the facts to back this up:  www.subarubratsarenowmylifethatIamunemployed.com YES THIS IS A REAL LINK!
-Fully loaded with 4 speed sequential shift gear box, and manual clutch, (no messy hydro-pneumatic here!)
-FWD-4WD shifter with indicator knob, (missing).
-Factory Venom rims, will fit most Peugeots!!
-Rare options include:  Headliner, locking steering wheel, simulated cloth interior with faux wood paneling, high-low beam headlights, brake pedal, 27 deletion panels and more!!
-1600cc Over head valve engine provides more than ample power when called upon! (note: this only applies when it is actually running),
-Ultra rare orange, painted over factory beige! No overspray that I can see.
-Factory jump seats without the seat belts, (makes it lighter, safer, and faster!), and working tail gate,
-All glass is good, most doors open and close, no rust that I could see, (ps, if you ask about this, your e-mail will not be working)!
-Horn works, all other electrics worked when parked 29 years ago, but I don't have a battery to test them??
-Hood opens, but lever is broken, vise-grip included,
-Both door locks have the keys broke off in them, but doors still work fine.
-Door hinges need replaced, or just slam the door closed as hard as you can with both hands, use it as is or replace them, I would replace them, but have no time in between my daily Soap Opera regiment.
-Factory speedometer, idiot oil pressure light, and glove-box, I believe it also has a dome light!
-Roll down windows, seems like something may be broke, because if you just barely touch the handle, the window glass drops down in the door at 3000 feet per second; only breaks the glass once in a while!
-All glass is good, except for the afore mentioned minor problem, but I really don't notice it much, easy fix!
-Replaced within the last few decades: Muffler, up-pipe, down-pipe, tail-pipe, intermediate-pipe, cat, brake shoes, brake pads, brake calipers, brake lines (all), brake wheel cylinders, brake master cylinder, brake adjusters, brake booster, brake proportioning valve, "brake" light in the dash, and sending unit, e-brake cables, e-brake lever, e-brake mounts, and e-brake button, upper ball joints, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, both front wheel bearings, both rear wheel bearings, carrier bearing, and all trunions-front/back/upper/lower.
-Brakes usually build up after the fifth or sixth pump, and has an exhaust leak, but is just a donut!
-Always starts on the eleventh to twenty-seventh time, always! Carb may need rebuilt, but I'm NOT a mechanic, so I don't know, just makes a weird spitting-back sort of noise when you push the gas pedal, probably a fuse or something.
-This would be a great father/son project to work on, share good times, and make some memories working on it.  Easily fixed in just one weekend,
-Good daily driver, show truck, conversation piece, status symbol, collectors piece, field beater, farm truck, or museum quality project! Or simply send it to the crusher and save yourself the headache.

Was $2798 new, + $7890 of repairs over the years= $10,688, in today's dollars that's $56,987 so that's the asking price, FIRM!!!
A sound investment that will only go up in value! Subaru investors take note, I may be selling this to a museum in Tokyo, hurry before it's gone!

-NO Mineral Deposits on the glass, I had a mechanic look at it, and he reassured me it was deposit free!!  I took it to Honest Johns auto center five years ago, which is when I had the glass replaced because for that recurring problem.
-The green fussy stuff in the pics is NOT mold, please don't ask again!
-Vehicle was Zeibart rust proofed when new, but frame has cracks and will just need minor repair, anything that is brown in the pics is rust, very little to no rust on the Brat.
-Rest assured, this is Better than Money in the bank!
-Interior like new, headliner is gone, only the orangish/red backer remains, but looks nice. Door panels are perfect/as new just need door panel refinisher applied(can be bought at any auto-parts store).
-The antifreeze looks like Peptomismol, not sure why, other that it must be a rare factory option!!
